This interactive dashboard displays Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) survey data for health status, prevention, and health risk behaviors. Data can be viewed for New York State as a whole, for individual counties, and regionally by different groupings including race/ethnicity, age group, gender, income, insurance type. This dashboard displays data from the three most recent full survey years (2016, 2018, and 2021). Trends are available.
The BRFSS dataset is designed to be representative of the adult population in NY State. Confidence intervals are provided to show the range of the estimated percentages. Weighting is used to create estimates that are representative of the selected geography and demographics.
