Behavioral Health Diagnoses Among Insured Population

This chart displays the percentage of insured residents with a diagnosed behavioral health condition by age group for the 14-county Finger Lakes region over a period of 9 years. At a regional level, the data provide valuable information regarding the rise in behavioral health diagnoses amongst all age groups between 2016 and 2024. Regardless of whether this is related to improvements in screening and detection or an actual increase in prevalence, the need for behavioral health professionals and services is on the rise. Of note, this dataset does not include all insurance providers. Understanding that some counties may have greater market share than others of the providers included, the data may be more representative of some individual counties than others.
