Severe Maternal Morbidity in the Finger Lakes Region

NY Finger Lakes Region (2012-2023)

Severe maternal morbidity is a measure of labor and delivery outcomes that result in adverse short-term and long-term consequences to a woman's health. It is based on 20 indicators as defined by the CDC. In the Finger Lakes region, occurrences of Severe Maternal Morbidity has been on the rise, up to 77 instances per 10,000 deliveries.
