This assessment* provides an overview of the behavioral health landscape in Monroe County. It identifies pathways and interventions where additional resources could improve behavioral health and wellness among county residents. Behavioral health as a discipline, much like the system that supports it, has immense breadth and depth. Behavioral health covers a broad spectrum of concerns and conditions, from mental health challenges to substance use issues. It encompasses care delivered by clinical providers and hospitals, and also community-based supports and services. We used a multipronged approach to gain a better understanding of our community’s behavioral health needs and selected five areas to focus analyses for this assessment.
