Erick Stephens is the Parent Engagement Specialist for Healthi Kids, ensuring all aspects of the Healthi Kids initiative are connected to and informed by parents, caregivers and community members.
Erick is a state and community-wide leader in the Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) space and is often sought after to present on IECMH through a lens that is equity centered. He is deeply committed to supporting and uplifting Black and Brown fathers, working closely with community partners to ensure that fathers are welcomed and have a voice at community tables.
Prior to joining the Healthi Kids team, Erick worked in youth development for the Rochester Public Library where he worked closely with and supported youth in the Safe to Be Smart program. In this role, he connected youth to mentors, opening their eyes to new experiences through field trips and academic enrichment activities.
Active in and strongly connected to the Rochester community, Erick currently serves on the boards of the Rochester Public Library System, Monroe County Library System, Reconnect Rochester and the Healthy Baby Network, where he also serves as board treasurer.
Erick is active in his church and enjoys lake life with his four wonderful adult children.
