New campaign highlights early relationships as key to healthy growth and development

Healthi Kids’ “Love from the Start” campaign is getting noticed. The campaign raises awareness of the importance of caregiver love and support of infants and toddlers.

A “Love from the Start” commercial aired on WROC-TV in pre- and post-game coverage of the Jan. 26 Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs football game. View that commercial here.

The campaign also includes advertising on billboards, public transit, social media, online, and through media interviews. Visit LoveFromTheStart.org for resources to nurture children's mental health during the all-important first five years.

Members of the Indigenous Health Coalition celebrated a year with the release of a new mission, vision and logo.

Indigenous Coalition celebrates first anniversary

The Indigenous Health Coalition recently marked its first year anniversary by sharing how members formed the coalition by building relationships. They gave an update on their work’s focus and shared their new mission, vision, and logo.

“We settled on three specific areas where we felt like we could make some immediate and specific impact,” said Todd Michel Waite, a member of the Seneca Nation (Bear Clan).

Coalition members are now developing goals and outcomes for their work.

“Today starts a new journey,” Waite said. “We’ve got the foundation and now we begin again to start to fill those baskets with good medicine.”
