AgeTech for Elder Care Professionals: Elevating Care through Innovation – on demand seminar, available from February 18 to September 30 
Tailored for those dedicated to providing exceptional care for older adults, this course covers the foundations of AgeTech, challenges of aging and specific modules designed to empower attendees in sourcing, validating and implementing innovative tech solutions. Cost: $497 for American Society on Aging members and $575 for non-members. Learn more.

 

Social Prescribing: A Snapshot from the Field – webinar, March 21 from 10 a.m. to 11:20 a.m.
The Federal Reserve Bank of New is offering a webinar for healthcare providers, insurers and foundations on social prescribing’s potential economic benefits. Social prescribing is the practice of medical prescribing for patients to participate in community activities such as creating and viewing art, joining social groups and volunteering. Sexual Harassment Prevention Training – hybrid, April 15 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
This free training will provide an overview of what New York State defines as sexual harassment, prohibited behaviors, employee rights and reporting options, as well as an introduction to building a culture of respect. Part of the Human Services Coalition Workshop Series, this session is available online via Zoom or in person at the Tompkins County Public Library, 101 East Green Street in Ithaca. The Center for Nonprofit Leadership at St. John Fisher University, Summer Course: Certificate in Nonprofit Management – in person, May 15 to June 26
This seven-week, on-campus Budgeting and Financial Management course is designed for any nonprofit staff member looking for professional development in this area. It covers internal controls, the IRS 990 Form, audits, budget preparation, capital budgets, cash flow, budget revisions, cost analysis and forecasting. Class meeting dates will be May 15, May 22, May 29, June 5, June 12, June 19, and June 26 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Registration will open at the end of March. Learn more.

 

Integration and Coordination to Improve the Patient Experience – online
This CareQuest Institute for Oral Health course will explore dental care coordination and integrated care as critical components in addressing systemic issues that affect patient outcomes. By establishing care coordination and adopting integrated care protocols, dental professionals facilitate interprofessional collaboration. (1 CE credit) Learn more.

 

NCADD-RA Holding Workplace Wellness Workshops
The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence-Rochester Area is holding three evidence-based workshops in response to workplace stressors. The workshops — The Ripple Effect of Wellbeing, Resilience and Thriving, and Empowered Health Consciousness — are intended to positively impact organizational culture by increasing psychological safety and coping skills among staff. NYATEP 2024 State of the Workforce Report. New York Association of Training and Employment Professionals (NYATEP) released their annual State of the Workforce Report, a snapshot of publicly available data to inform communities about the dynamics of their regional economy and the workforce impact. The report is intended to help guide workforce professionals to benefit workers with meaningful opportunities and organizations with high-quality talent. Download the report.

 

OSWD 2024 Annual Report. The New York State Office of Strategic Workforce Development’s (OSWD) annual report to the State Legislature summarizes OSWD’s activities in 2024 and the status of all funding programs launched or expanded through the Governor’s investment in strategic workforce development.

 

A Year of Improving the Oral Health System. This 2024 Impact Report highlights the partners and projects that improved our oral health care system.
