Health CareWorkforce UpdatesJanuary 2021Workforce survey data collection complete Thank you to all who spread the word and responded to our health care workforce survey! We received 122 responses organizations in 27 counties. We will share our draft insights at the Health Care Workforce Consortium meeting in the spring and will share a full report later this year. If you would like to be added to the report distribution list, please email Melissa Pennise. Finger Lakes COVID Vaccine Volunteer Task Force Clinical and general volunteer support is needed for the largest public health response in our lifetime: getting the public vaccinated for COVID-19. Apply to be part of the Vaccine Volunteer Force so that you can be ready to help with various roles as vaccines arrive and new distribution sites are added. Volunteer opportunities will be available throughout the 9-county Finger Lakes Region and you can select which counties you prefer to volunteer in: Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming, Yates. Shifts will be available day and evening, 7 days a week. Virtual dementia education series for health care professionals There are 4 sessions remaining in the virtual dementia education series for health care providers hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association, Rochester/Finger Lakes Chapter and the Finger Lakes Geriatric Education Center (FLGEC). Sessions are held on Thursdays at 8 AM in February. Dates and topics are as follows:

Chamber Counsel webinar on COVID vaccine issues for employers The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce is offering a webinar on organizational vaccine policies, including updated EEOC guidance and considerations for determining whether to mandate employee vaccines. The webinar will be held on February 11 at 10 AM. The webinar is free for Greater Rochester Chamber members. Click here to register. New resources on telehealth approaches to therapy and recovery UR Medicine Recovery Center of Excellence has compiled evidence-based and emerging best practices for adapting therapy and recovery programs to COVID-19 regulations.
