New York State Public Health Association Webinar: Establishing a Model for Certified Recovery Peer Advocate Training Programs

Presented by Andrea Salis, PhD, CHES and Lori Conkling, MA, of Queensborough Community College of the City University of New York, this presentation aims to share the experiences of integrating a non-credit training program with a college-credit health education course. This course provides students with the knowledge, skills and opportunities for employment to help individuals through their recovery process.

2) The Department of Psychiatry's Division of Collaborative Care & Wellness are hosting the Rochester Behavioral Health Integration 4th Annual Symposium: "The Economics of Behavioral Health Integration: Opportunities to Improve Care While Addressing Social Determinants of Health" will be held on from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Hilton Garden Inn.

3) The University of Rochester Social Work Department will be hosting their 4th Annual Social Work Conference.  This year’s conference is entitled “Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities – Services and Support Through the Lifespan.”  It will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Larry and Cindy Block Alumni and Advancement Center, 300 East River Road, Rochester, NY.  This activity has been approved for 6.25 Social Work Continuing Education Hours.
