Workforce Updates

January 2022

Report available: Addressing the Crisis in the Long-term Care Workforce

State Senators Rachel May, Gustavo Rivera and Jessica Ramos released a report of findings of the Senate Committees on Aging, Health, and Labor. Based on testimony from stakeholders affected by the long-term care workforce shortage received in July 2021, the report provides analysis of inadequacies of the current system and offers recommendations to the state to improve the long-term care system, enable people to live independently, reduce health care costs, and provide a living wage to the long-term care workforce.

Multi-county survey assesses workplace well-being

Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce, RochesterWorks!, DePaul and other partners across New York are seeking insights and opinions about workplace well-being, including mental, physical, and financial health. This survey is best answered by organizations' senior executives. Survey results will be shared through Chambers of Commerce and public health agencies throughout the New York area. If you have questions, you can contact Valerie Way.
